Milford Center is conveniently located close to Route 1. The Center was completely renovated in 2010 and features a Transitional Care Unit (TCU) with semi-private as well as private rooms, both equipped with flat screen TVs and telephones. There are two TCU lounges where patients can help themselves to beverages and snacks throughout the day, and patients can use the computer in the Fireside lounge. Wireless Internet is available for patients who wish to bring their own laptops. Milford Center has trayless, country-style dining which includes many choices on the menu! We have a caring, well-educated staff which is committed to giving our patients and residents the best quality of care available.

Brian ZaragozaCenter Executive Director
Brian Zaragoza started as the Center Executive Director in August of 2020. He is a Delaware local, born and raised just outside of Dover, DE. Brian received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama, and his MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. Before coming to Genesis, Brian worked in hospice in the Denver Metro Area and then as the Executive Director at a Skilled Nursing Facility near Aspen, CO. Brian is thrilled to be back in his home state of Delaware serving the Milford community. In his free time, Brian enjoys travelling, cooking, playing golf, riding his bike, and spending time with his fiancé Dylan, and his pup, Darby.
Susan Kirchdoerffer, DOMedical Director
Susan Kirchdoerffer, DO is a board certified family physician. She is the Regional Medical Director for TeamHealth’s Mid-Atlantic region and also serves as clinical lead for Delaware and Pennsylvania. Dr. Kirchdoerffer sits on the board of the Mid Atlantic Medical Directors association and is currently applying for her certified medical director certification. When she is not working she loves to travel and since the COVID pandemic has become an active hiker.
KerriCenter Nurse Executive
Kerri was born and raised in Milford, Delaware. She graduated from Delaware Technical Community College in 2007. She continued her education and received her RN credentials in 2009. Her Bachelors of Nursing Science was obtained in 2015 from Wilmington University at which she is pursuing her Master’s Degree. Kerri started her long term care career in 2008. She also has experience in acute hospital and hospice care. Her certifications include Wound and Ostomy care from Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse Society (WOCN). She also has a certification in Nursing Home Infection Prevention from The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She has done community research on how nutrition impacts the body and hands on hospital research on the prone position of ventilated patients impacted from COVID 19. Her community involvement has been at the Delaware Food Bank, Milford Pop Warner, and Delaware Express Travel Softball. Kerri takes pride in improving the quality of life in long term care and maintaining the maximum potentials of any individual living with disabilities. She has 2 children in college and resides in Harrington with her husband of 20 plus years.
Erica MansfieldAdmissions Coordinator
Erica started at Milford Center in November 2018 as a part time receptionist. During that time she was asked to assist in the Admissions Department as the Assistant. She quickly learned the admissions process and was promoted to full time. Erica is a Delaware native and lives in Harrington with her family. Placing your loved one in a nursing facility can be overwhelming, and she strives to make that transition as smooth as possible for both the patient and family.
Susan JordanDirector of Rehabilitation
Susan Jordan, the Director of Rehabilitation, has been with Genesis Milford Center since September 2019 and with Genesis Rehabilitation Services since 2009. Her career in rehabilitation began in 2006. Susan was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and attended Salisbury University and Anne Arundel Community College where she received her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree. She enjoys the outdoors, going to the beach, sports, spending time with her dog, Raven and cat, Camo. Susan and her team are committed to ensuring quality treatments for successful recovery for transition to home or the next level of care.
Amy Ferguson-MooreDementia Director
Amy Ferguson-Moore is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Alzheimer's Association trained Support Group Facilitator. She has approximately 20 years experience working with individuals diagnosed with dementia. She joined the team at Milford Center in 2019 as the Dementia Program Director. She enjoys volunteering on the committee for the Rehoboth Beach Walk to End Alzheimer's as the Logistics and Social Media chair. She is committed to ensuring the highest quality of care for residents of the Memory Support unit.
