Seaford, DE – Lofland Park Center is excited to announce that Beverly Gray Mears, our esteemed Director of Nursing, has been recognized by the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as a Future Leader in long-term and post-acute care. As part of this prestigious honor, Beverly will participate in AHCA/NCAL’s Future Leaders program, a year-long initiative that offers advanced training and mentorship for professionals committed to shaping the future of the industry.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Beverly to this year’s Future Leaders program,” said Mark Parkinson, President and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “Her dedication and forward-thinking vision make her a standout, and we are confident she will help lead long-term care into a bright future.”

Beverly’s achievement reflects Lofland Park Center’s deep commitment to quality care. “We couldn’t be prouder of Beverly,” said a representative from Lofland Park Center. “Her passion for delivering exceptional care and inspiring others to continually improve has made a lasting impact on our patients, residents, and staff.”

Born and raised in Seaford, Delaware, Beverly earned her LPN from Delaware Technical and Community College in 1985, later achieving her RN credentials in 1990. With over two decades of service at Genesis, including the last decade at Lofland Park Center, Beverly has made significant contributions both as a CNA instructor and a CPR/First Aid instructor. Outside of her professional commitments, Beverly enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at the beach.

Lofland Park Center is honored to have Beverly represent us in the AHCA/NCAL Future Leaders program, and we look forward to seeing her continue to lead with excellence in the field of long-term care.

AHCA/NCAL developed the Future Leaders program in 2004. Selected participants demonstrate both leadership potential and represent the interests of state and national long term care providers. The program covers the latest theories and practical applications in quality management, customer satisfaction, and leadership. The year-long program kicks off with the “Future Leaders of Long Term Care in America” Symposium held each year in Washington, D.C.
