COVID-19 Second Booster Dose
The CDC recently released a recommendation for a second COVID-19 booster dose for certain persons. Specifically, a second mRNA booster dose could benefit people ages 50 years and older, as they are at increased risk for severe COVID-19. People ages 50 years and older may choose to receive a second booster dose, if it has been at least 4 months after the first booster. We recommend that appropriate residents receive their second booster dose. The COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer or Moderna) are available. Please let your physician or nurse know right away if you or your loved one would like to receive the second booster.

Eriko K. Umana, M.Ed
AdministratorEriko began her career as a nursing home administrator in 1996. She has worked with Sisters of Providence Health System for over 20 years as an administrator. While she was employed by Sisters of Providence, she accomplished both the opening and closing of their new facility and oversaw the Adult Day Health Program. Eriko was at one facility for 17 years and led her team to achieve a 5 star rating, a deficiency free survey, a high rating with their employee engagement survey, and received an Excellence in Action Award from the MyInnerview customer satisfaction survey. During the 2020 COVID pandemic, Eriko was recruited to open a COVID recovery center in East Longmeadow in conjunction with BayState Hospital, Department of Public Health and Berkshire Health System. Eriko successfully opened the recovery center, which took care of over 70 patients and discharged them home safely. Eriko closely works with residents, staff and family to ensure all residents are receiving a high quality of care. Eriko has 2 children who are both actively involved in academics and competitive sports, such as alpine skiing, golf, gymnastics, soccer, and fencing.
Tina Gauger
Director of NursingTina has over 30 year's of experience in long-term/rehabilitation nursing. Her career began as a CNA while she pursued her nursing career and cared for her family. Tina truly believes in providing patients, residents and their families with a setting in which their individual goals are achieved.
