Nancy Kitson, MD
Medical DirectorOur New Medical Director at San Juan Center has 20 years of experience in Nursing Home Care in Colorado and New Mexico. She is a graduate of Dartmouth Medical School and completed a Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She is Employed by the Indian Health Service at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock NM and Specializes in the Care of Navajo Elders. In light of the potential harm the pandemic poses for nursing home residents in particular, Dr. Kitson is vigilant in ensuring the safety and health of Genesis Healthcare’s patients. Loretta Jensen, RN
Director of NursingLoretta has been a nurse since 1995 and has been the Director of Nursing at San Juan Center since February of 2011. Loretta has used her decades of nursing experience to drive high quality healthcare for all of the residents of this center. Loretta is specially trained in the principles of Infection Control and is dedicated to ensure that the residents remain safe. Loretta is passionate in the prevention of avoidable wounds and is always excited to celebrate with the residents and staff when wounds are healed as a result of the care provided. Loretta is a "hands-on" leader and you will find her at the bedside visiting with residents, checking in on their care, and coaching the staff. Loretta will tell you that she feels incredibly loyal to this center because she genuinely loves the residents, feels compelled to see them doing their absolute best, and couldn't imagine working with a more professional, more dedicated crew of individuals.

Daisy Deswood
Director of AdmissionsDaisy has been working at San Juan Center since January 1998. She has worn many hats during her career from CNA, RNA, Medical Records Director, Activity Director to Marketing and Admissions Director. She is from Two Grey Hills, NM. She is very Compassionate and Dedicated to Ensuring that every Admission to San Juan Center is treated with Respect and Dignity during their Stay.

Andrea
Director of RehabilitationAndrea obtained her degree as a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) at San Juan College. She is national board certified with knowledge of practice working with the older adult population. Andrea has been employed with Genesis Healthcare since 2018 as a COTA and transitioned to Director of Rehabilitation in 2022 at San Juan Center. Andrea and her therapy team members: physical, occupational, and speech therapists strive to provide the highest quality of client-centered care using evidence-based practice to improve the lives of people with different diversities and backgrounds within the four corners region at San Juan Center.
