COVID-19 Second Booster Dose
The CDC recently released a recommendation for a second COVID-19 booster dose for certain persons. Specifically, a second mRNA booster dose could benefit people ages 50 years and older, as they are at increased risk for severe COVID-19. People ages 50 years and older may choose to receive a second booster dose, if it has been at least 4 months after the first booster. We recommend that appropriate residents receive their second booster dose. The COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer or Moderna) are available. Please let your physician or nurse know right away if you or your loved one would like to receive the second booster.

Mesa Christian Residential Care Center part of the Mesa Christian Health & Rehabilitation Campus, which offers a continuum of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. The campus specializes in post-hospital rehabilitation and assisted living in adjacent buildings. Our Senior Living and Rehabilitative Health campus supports our residents to maximize their quality of life while enjoying the peace of mind knowing additional services are available onsite should the need arise. Mesa Christian Residential Care Center accepts Medicaid for assisted/senior living accommodations.
Our 3 day minimum Respite stay offers the flexibility for Caregivers to take a much-needed break from the demands of daily life, while providing an opportunity for your loved one to socialize with an array of activities in a safe, supportive, welcoming environment.

Carmen Zuniga
Center Executive DirectorCarmen has been in Arizona, now 5 years, originally from Chicago 35 years, New Hampshire 6 years and
Florida 19 years. Her career has spanned from an Executive Legal Assistant to Nursing. Carmen met her
husband in the 8th grade when they were 12 years old and they have been together ever since. She has
4 children, and 6 grandchildren, whom she adores. Carmen is a big advocate of homeless and abused
children, she volunteered for 15 years with Dept. of Children and Family Services-rescuing children of all
ages in Chicago. Her passion is meeting people from all over the world and trying to make a difference
for the ones who need help. Carmen wants to make an impact and a difference in whatever way she can helping people. Her new passion is the geriatric population.
