Recent Discharge
"Thank you to everyone involved in my care, you have all been wonderful. I am lucky to have such a caring group, intensive therapy and happy that I am able to go home with my family."
Got my strength back!
One of our Residents just went home after his Rehab stay here at Lebanon Center Genesis. Although he was excited to be able to go home he made the following comments: "I cannot thank all of you enough for building me up and helping to get my strength back". "I am going to miss all of you". "I will come back and visit". It so rewarding to have such great success stories from our residents.

Dear Genesis Staff
"Dear Genesis Staff, We don't know how to express how much we appreciate what you have done for us. When we came to Genesis, we hoped that John would get good care and that you would tolerate me being around all of the time. What we found was a group of people who genuinely cared about us. We could name names, but we wouldn't want to leave anyone out because all of you made us feel like we were the most important you had to deal with. We've seen you give that level of care to every resident here. From the dining room, to checking John's meds, to keeping his room clean, to dressing, toileting and cajoling him daily to getting him involved with music to taking care of the damn insurance company and getting us ready for life on our own, you were all always there. You were patient, friendly, and professional. We were able to get to know you because all of our discussions didn't have to be about what we needed. You knew what was needed and you took care of it. We feel that we are leaving friends when we leave Genesis and that includes many of the Residents".
Dr. John Bocachica
Dr. John Bocachica, a Dermatologist from Alaska, recently had his knee replaced at Dartmouth Hitchcock and came to Lebanon Center, Genesis HealthCare, for his post-replacement rehabilitation. He states that his experience at Lebanon Center was “Excellent” and that he could not have recovered without his Rehabilitation Team and nursing care. In appreciation, Dr. Bocachica and his wife Jocelyn, donated a framed piece of artwork to the Rehabilitation Department of a Bowhead whale with calf, with two whale baleen plates from Alaska. Baleen whales are edentulous and the baleen plates filter food from the water for these whales rather than teeth. Dr. Bocachica is pictured here with therapist Bob Wilson and Melissa Suckling, OTR, Program Manager, and his wife Jocelyn.

Great care
I really enjoyed the care I received and the friendly, helpful staff. My only complaint was the lunch service but other than that, I’m extremely happy with the care that was provided; therapy and the opportunity to return home!
Professional care and kindness
It was one year ago today that we brought our mother, R.S., to Genesis. Your professional care and personal attention enabled us to just “be” with her during the final 12 weeks of her life. Thank you for everything you did to make her time with you as meaningful and comfortable as possible. I particularly remember your kindness during her final days and hours. Paula, your hug in the cafeteria a few hours before she died meant so much to me. You may not remember that moment, but it will always remain in my heart. I am mindful of how difficult it must be for all of you right now as you work even harder to keep your co-workers and residents safe in the midst of a pandemic. Please know that your work is important and doesn’t go unnoticed. The strain must be tremendous. I pray that you will be all right. There may have been changes to the staff since Rhoda passed last June, but please let everyone who cared for her know that I’m thinking of them. CC, Meredith, Desirae, Alex, Cree, Christal, Matt, Alison, Lisa, Ashley, Alvina and sweet Morgan. There are probably others whose names I can’t put to the faces in my memory. This message includes them, too. Please take care. I hope to see you as soon as it is possible. Warmly, E.B.

Positivity, warmth and friendship
A very nice email from a previous Resident who recently transitioned home. Just a reminder of the great work our team does each and everyday. Hi Jenn, Thank you so much for the beautiful picture of Midori . Please give her a big hug and a treat, and tell her it's from her friend Renn. I also wish to thank you for your positivity, warmth and friendship, while I was at Genesis. They definitely played a significant role in my recovery. I was so depressed, and afraid when I arrived. I felt like I was being a pain in the neck, stopping by to visit so often, but you both always made me feel welcome and that meant a lot to me.
