This was an unfortunate injury, however, the relationships I have made and people I have met during this time were all positive. I came here to overcome pain and gather some tools and techniques to be home and continue to heal. I am confident leaving the facility today because I have those tools."

Now I can walk independently
They must know I love root beer; I get some every meal! I am so glad that I have improved. When I came here I couldn't walk, I thought I was going to die. I even had a priest come and visit. But now I can walk independently. I owe it to Genesis; all the aides, nurses, and therapy helping me along. My legs were weak and I was nervous, just to stand was frightening. But they reassured me that I would be able to stand. All in all, I'm very happy that I have come as far as I have in the short time I've been here. I prayed to the Lord to help me, and here I am! I am very pleased and hope I keep it up.
