JERSEY SHORE CENTER RECOGNIZED BY NEWSWEEK AS ONE OF THE BEST NURSING HOMES FOR 2022

[Eatontown, NJ] – October 25, 2019 – Jersey Shore Center, a skilled nursing facility affiliated with Genesis HealthCare, today announced that it was recognized as one of the Best Nursing Homes for 2022 by Newsweek. Newsweek identified the top 450 nursing homes across 25 states. Jersey Shore Center was one of 38 nursing homes selected throughout New Jersey.

Newsweek evaluated and scored nursing homes based on key performance data, peer recommendation, and the response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, Newsweek utilized the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) monthly performance data for each nursing home according to health inspections, quality measures and staffing. Second, 10,000 medical experts were asked to complete an online survey that assessed nursing homes. And finally, each nursing home was evaluated for their response to the pandemic including resident impact, facility capacity, staff and personnel, supplies and PPE and vaccination rates of residents. The Newsweek Best Nursing Homes designation reinforces Jersey Shore Center’s reputation as a facility that offers excellent and reliable quality care.
