Thank you for such a fabulous summer event!
To whom it may concern,
We wanted to thank the staff at Highgate for providing such a fabulous summer event for the residents and their families. The luau was wonderful in so many ways. Our parents were great dancers in their day and it meant so much to us to see them dancing again. We feel so blessed to be able to spend these moments with them and appreciate Highgate's wonderful staff providing such precious opportunities. You definitely have to have the MC back again...fabulous!

Caring Hands
I just wanted to say thank you all for taking care of our mother and for being so attentive. It was really a relief to have her in competent and caring hands.
Such a warm and peaceful place
I wanted to thank you for the good care and wonderful environment you provided for my father while he was at Highgate. I don't think he could have gotten better care anywhere else. You and the staff do a very special job, mostly out of sight, and it takes a special compassion to be able to do it every day. I was really impressed. I always liked to sit in the lobby and enjoy a cup of coffee - such a warm and peaceful place.
I hope Highgate is still there 20 years from now when I get to be my father's age - I'll want to reserve a room!
Quality Care and Positive Attitudes
Throughout my adult life my parents told us they didn't want to live in one of "those places." No thank you, we will stay in our home.
Following a stroke, Dad did spend his last six months in a nursing home. That only strengthened my mother's resolve. By the time she was 94, it was time to have someone come in to help. Actually, it ended up being a number of "someone's," one after another. Time to try something else.
We walked into Highgate's lovely living room with fireplace burning. Kevin, the manager on duty, quickly embraced her with a warm welcome and invitation to whatever activity was about to begin. I glanced over and saw a huge smile on my mother's face. A wave of relief washed over me.
Now Mom plays bridge once a week. On Friday afternoons she enjoys "happy hour" in the lounge. Several mornings a week, she attends an exercise class. She has her hair done and gets manicures in the on-site beauty parlor. She looks fantastic!
The environment is very gracious and comfortable, and the activities help make each day fun. But the most important thing by far is the staff at Highgate. That is something you cannot judge by driving by or even on an initial tour.
It is the quality and the attitude of the staff that sets Highgate apart. They are part of a family. Positive, friendly, patient and upbeat. They genuinely like the members of this much blessed community and care deeply about their well-being. Highgate is a warm and friendly group of people, young and old, with an attitude that says, "Welcome, please join us, and have a wonderful day!"

Such Care and Compassion
To the staff at Highgate and the Homestead Unit:
We want to thank you all again for the care and compassion that you gave to our wife and mother, Dorothy during the four years as a resident in the Homestead Unit.
It was a difficult time when we realized that she could no longer remain at home. We needed extra assistance as her dementia progressed. We were lucky to find Highgate, as it turned out to be the best place for her to receive the care she needed. The staff truly cared about her and our family.
Every employee made us feel welcome and we were comforted in knowing that Dottie was well cared for and cared about.
We understand the challenges associated with dementia and appreciate the caregivers of the Homestead Unit. Thank you for the time you spent with Dottie in making her feel comforted and secure. You will always have a special place in our hearts.
We thank you all and will miss you.
-Tom, Sue and Peter Sailor
Thanks for making my birthday special
Brent and all,
Thank you for making my birthday special by eating in the private dining room. I had my table mates join me: Emma, Jane, Betty and my daughter Marsha. We all had a great time and really enjoyed it! The cake was superb!
Thanks again,
- Laura
Helped navigate through a challenging situation
Megan, I hope this email finds you and your family healthy and safe. This is a long overdue thank you for helping with my sister-in-law, Julie. We really were at a loss with where to go with her as she was being discharged from Tower Health in Reading. You and Savanna were a godsend for our family, and helped us navigate through a very new, complicated, and challenging situation. With the arrival of corona virus, and all of the chaos that's ensued, it's taken me far too long to look back to how you and your staff were so accommodating and helpful to our family. I can't thank you enough. Take care and best wishes to everyone at Highgate.

Spectacular
Always, but especially during COVID, all staff have made everything so much easier and safe for the residents. Jill in nursing makes life so much better and goes above and beyond the call of duty. In activities, without Elaine, Amanda and Kathleen, this place would not run as smooth to keep the residents occupies. I miss bingo and look forward to sitting with all my friends again and religious services resuming. I want to give much needed credit to food services department for doing a great job not only with preparing great meals but ensuring meals are delivered timely. All staff here are spectacular!
- Carol
Responsive and good
My stay at Highgate Paoli Pointe has been very good for the most part. Staff is very responsive and aides are very good. Elaine in activities does a good job relaying information to the residents and keeping us up to date. I enjoy spending time and playing rubik's cube with the other residents. The food is pretty good too.
- Sam
Feel at home
I moved in here in July with my service dog Sarah and I could not be happier. The staff have gone out of their way to make sure that we feel at home. Sarah is very comfortable here she's made friends with many of the staff. The food it's pretty good and everybody that I've met like it here making friends with the other residence is difficult with the COVID-19 restrictions. The nursing staff is excellent they care you're quick to serve and our friendly. The whole property is being renovated as materials become available.

Great partner with our family
My mother has been at Highgate for two years now as we were looking for a residence that would take Medicaid for her near future. But just as importantly would be a home that we could trust for her well-being as her memory sadly continues to diminish. Highgate has been a great partner with our family for my mother’s care! The flexibility, the care, the communication and peace of mind has been indispensable to us in this season of her life.

Going above and beyond
I wanted to give a shout out to Susan/Elaine for really helping and making my mom feel loved. I am not there and it is so hard, but I know they go above and beyond and I greatly appreciate it! I can’t wait until I can come and see her next week. I also will be looking forward to volunteering and helping with Activities once everything opens up.
-Elyse F.
Help and support
Thank you all so very much for the care you've given my mom. It has been a difficult time for our family but your help and support has made things easier.
-Chip and Anne P.
Everything has been better
Everything you folks have provided, from people to processes and procedures has been great. In my estimation, the efforts provided by you and your co-workers has been a fine example of ways to meet the healthcare and lifestyle needs of your residents.
-Dennis T.
Beautiful facility, great staff
The facility is beautiful and the entire staff did a great job helping make the move-in process run smoothly. I can't say enough about how responsive and accommodating everyone has been to Dad and my entire family.
-Robert H.
We can't thank you enough
While I was on the phone with Reese hearing about her three visits with my dad today, going out of her way to get him more food, offer phone help, and encourage him that he’s doing much better than he thinks, I got the sweetest voicemail from April telling me she got him more coleslaw for dinner and offering to help in any way. Just before this, I got several emails from Jill taking care of a variety of details that I had just asked about and making so many efforts to assure that our dad is comfortable and well cared for. If there were a teary-eyed emoji in email, I’d insert it here. Between the three of you, my dad and I both got just what we needed to turn this day around. Words can’t express how grateful we are for the 3 of you. Our dad has no idea yet just how blessed he is to be there."
From Jack, Kevin, Cyndi and Suzanne, we can’t thank you enough!
You guys are awesome
I wanted to send a thank you out to everyone in reference to my mom. You guys are awesome you made what may have been very stressful situation into something that was not alarming to mom and very easy.
-Elyse Fiorillo

I just want to thank you and your staff for everything thing you did for my mom.

Simply amazing
I wanted to thank you so much for all of the courtesies and warmth that you provided to me as we were grappling with a difficult decision regarding the placement of my mom. You were simply amazing during this process.
