Heritage Place is a single level senior living community nestled conveniently near the heart of Owensboro. Certified by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, we are proud members of the Kentucky Senior Living Association. With 68 apartments we offer the warmth of home and the comfort of 24- hour assistance. At Heritage Place we provide assistance with activities of daily living, full dining and housekeeping services, as well as socialization and activities. Our bright and spacious dining room provides an open area to meet with others while enjoying meals. Weekly housekeeping and laundry services provide you the ease of carefree living while you enjoy all of the day to day activities. Our team works hard to offer a wide variety of activities that support our residents leading healthy and enjoyable lives, including exercise and fitness classes, card games, happy hours, music and entertainment, book clubs and much more. Our wellness program offers assistance for those who require more help such as medication reminders and assistance with activities of daily living. Heritage Place Senior Living is proud to offer a newly appointed respite suite to help those who may desire a short term stay.

Executive DirectorShelby has been a servant leader in the Senior Living Industry for over 30 years. She has a proven track record of leading successful teams in both Operations and Regional Sales across the United States. She now makes her home on a farm along the south bank of the Ohio River and enjoys spectacular scenery and a bountiful garden with her husband and domestic bobcats.
Rob Johannemann
Maintenance DirectorRob has been serving in our community since 2012 working as the Maintenance Director. The most rewarding part of his job is the relationships he has with the residents.
Jamie Dickerson
Business Office ManagerJamie joined the team at Heritage Place in 2013. She is a native of Owensboro Kentucky and has worked in the continuum of care since 2010. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, shopping and making memories with her family. Her favorite part of senior living is bonding with our residents and their families.
Julia Wilhite
Director of Life EnrichmentJulia brings the energy, when it comes to fun and enriching the lives of our residents. In her free time she enjoys playing with her two dogs and spending time with friends and family. The reason she enjoys working at Heritage Place is because she gets to know the residents and improve their quality of life
Perfect place

I moved into the community in May of 2018 after an accident at home. I absolutely love the people who work and live here.
Such a nice place
I have been living at Heritage Place since January. The people here are very friendly, I enjoy not having to cook my own meals and being able to bring my cat Becky to live with me.

I have lived at Heritage Place since December 24th 2020. I enjoy all of the friendly staff and the relationships I have made with other residents. I love meeting new people and learning about their history. The community is clean and the food is good. Come to Heritage Place and be my neighbor.

Peace of mind
I think it is a wonderful place to live . It gives my children a piece of mind knowing I am being taken care of when needed . I have immediate help when I request it. The floor team really care about us living here and are always so cheerful even if the outside world is so ugly. I really enjoy being here it really is home to me.

Help is right around the corner
I absolutely love it here, everyone treats you like family and I have made a lot of great friendships. The staff at Heritage Place are great about keeping my family informed about my care. The food is delicious and they even keep my apartment clean for me, not to mention there is always something to do. What I enjoy most is feeling safe. I was often worried at home that I would fall but that weight has been lifted off of my shoulders knowing that help is just right around the corner.
