COVID Booster Shots
Hard to believe we are already half way through the summer! In preparation for the fall COVID and Flu season and with the new COVID BA.5 variant circulating, we are recommending all nursing home and assisted living residents receive their COVID booster and Flu shots. Centers will provide access to Flu shots in September and boosters are available now.

Julie Brenneman, NHA
AdministratorJulie joined the administrative staff of Glenville Center in December 2006. She was raised and lives in nearby Calhoun County with her family. Julie received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Glenville State College and a Masters Degree in Social Work from West Virginia University. Prior to joining the Glenville team, she had 7 years experience as a social worker in the hospital, long term care and hospice settings. Julie's goals as the leader of the Glenville team include supporting her staff in providing high quality healthcare to the wonderful community they serve.

Dr. Bennett Orvik
Medical DirectorDr. Bennett Orvik has a distinguished medical background as a general and family physician over the last 42 years and has held the title of Medical Director at Glenville Center for the last five. His role is vital at our center as he oversees the majority of our residents by providing medical care, overseeing assessment and evaluations and addressing resident’s needs. His dedication to his role and the residents of Glenville Center are evident to all of those around him.

Burke Holvey-Friend
Director of Marketing & AdmissionsBurke is a graduate of West Virginia University and mother of two, she began her career as the Animal Id Coordinator for the WV Department of Agriculture. In 2018 she accepted a position with the WV treasury, but with her boys growing up she wanted to be more readably available which had her accepting the position of Director of Marketing and Admissions with Genesis HealthCare Glenville Center. In her spare time Burke enjoys being active with her boys, whether that be watching them play sports or traveling the country showing cattle.

Angela Sprouse
Director of RehabilitationAngela earned a Business Administration degree from Marshall University in 1998 prior to returning to school to pursue her passion for the physical therapy field. Angela graduated from The College of West Virginia in 2000 with an Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. She immediately began work as a PTA. Angela has lived in Sutton, South Charleston, and Elkins providing care as a PTA in outpatient and home health. She moved with her family to Glenville in order to be closer to family. She then worked in Gassaway in outpatient, inpatient and home health before accepting the PTA position at Glenville in 2014. Angela was recently promoted to Director of Rehab at the Glenville Center in May 2018. She is excited to pursue her career as a DOR in addition to providing care. Angela lives outside Glenville with her husband and 2 young daughters. She is very passionate about her community and looks forward to the new responsibilities of being a Director of Rehab and the positive changes to the Glenville Center.
