"My search for a Senior Living Facility for my parents in Berks county had me visiting about a dozen facilities. I chose not to evaluate a facility based solely on statistics and the literature the facility provided but on my instincts. Walking into Berkshire Commons I said to my self, "Wow...this is nice!" Its modest size and layout gives it as much of a home-like feeling as one could expect. All the staff I met were friendly and knowledgeable, and the meal I sampled was excellent. I was especially impressed with the special efforts that were made to create a feeling of openness and reduce the "hotel" feeling so many other facilities seem to be modeled after. (Not that there's anything wrong with a hotel...you just wouldn't want to live in most of them!) My feelings have been affirmed over and over by my parents who are very happy to be living there.
Sincerely,
Jerry V., Jr."
Extremely grateful
I would like you and your staff to know how grateful we are for all of your efforts. When you think about it, you are actually putting yourselves and your families at a higher risk commuting to work to take care of our elderly parents and we hope you know how much we all appreciate this! Our immediate family's perspective on you assuming this risk is heightened because our Daughter-in-Law is in the medical profession and working daily at a hospital with COVID patients in one of the Nation's hotspots, Michigan. I trust you can pass our note of gratitude along to your staff.
Best Regards, Bob Rochelle
Thank You
The entire staff at Berkshire Commons has done an amazing job of caring for the residents during this crazy time. The fact that the only COVID tests came back negative speaks volumes, especially in relationship to the age and overall health of the residents and compared to other residential and long term care facilities. "Thank You" does not adequately express our sincere and heartfelt knowledge that our Mom is in the best place she could be at this time"
