Proud to work at Arden House
I am proud to work at Arden House - where we have outstanding teamwork and compassionate staff. During the Covid Pandemic the situation broke my heart but working with my colleagues it touched my heart and the work we did together healed my heart. Our teamwork made a big difference to both the patients and each other.

Positive Outcome!
Mr. Korby was admitted to the hospital after falling and being on the floor for 6 days. His hospital course was complicated by aspiration pneumonia and eventually had a feeding tube placed. He lives alone in an apartment, has some family/community support, was independent with all mobility and walking without a device, bathing/dressing/toileting (ADL) tasks and driving short distances.
Upon admission to Arden House, he was evaluated by PT, OT & Speech and needed assistance of 2 with all mobility, ADL's, was able to ambulate a few steps with a walker and was not eating by mouth. Throughout his course of therapy, Mr. Korby was able to progress to full independence with all tasks; was cleared to begin eating food and eventually had his feeding tube removed. With the assistance of the team at Arden, Mr. Korby was able to obtain additional support in the community so he could safely return to his apartment.

Able to walk again!
In October 2020, Herboso was diagnosed with COVID-19 and hospitalized. During his hospital stay, he was intubated, and had a trach and tube feed placed; all were removed prior to leaving the hospital. Due to prolonged lying on his stomach, he also developed significant weakness in his ankles and now requires orthotic devices to walk. At the beginning of April 2021, Herboso was admitted to Arden House for rehabilitation. After 25 days, he was able to walk on his own again, could take his orthotics on and off, was independent with all activities of daily living. Herboso worked very hard but he was able to make daily improvements. At the end of April, he was discharged back home with his son. Congratulations Herboso – we admire your strength and perseverance!
