ACADEMY MANOR RAISES MORE THAN $8,500 FOR THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S®

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is Largest Fundraiser Dedicated to Alzheimer’s Care, Support and Research

[Andover, MA] – Academy Manor, located at 89 Morton Street in Andover, Massachusetts, announced today that it raised more than $8,500 for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.  Academy Manor provides Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, LongTerm Care, ShortStay Care, Respite, Hospice, and Dementia/Alzheimer's Care.

More than 10 participants from Academy Manor joined the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. Academy Manor raised the second most funds of any of the affiliated Genesis centers nationwide. In 2022, Genesis affiliates raised over $140,000 company-wide and has continued to add to their lifetime achievement level of $2,000,000+ for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

“I am continually inspired by Academy Manor participants for joining in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said Chief Operating Officer, Melissa Powell. “This year, Genesis also made a $25,000 donation so the Alzheimer’s Association will be able to provide much needed education, support services and care to families affected by this devastating disease, as well as fund critically-needed Alzheimer’s research.”
