Staci Banton, RN
AdministratorStaci joined the Genesis HealthCare team in 2011. She has been a part of the nursing profession since 2000, starting as a CNA in our building, working in acute care as an LPN, and further advancing her career as a RN with her Bachelor’s degree. Staci is dedicated to ensuring our residents well-being and clinical needs are met during their stay at our center. She believes in exceptional customer service and considers our residents and their families her number one priority.
Saad Zafar D.O.
Medical DirectorSaad Zafar D.O. specializes in Internal Medicine and Preventive Healthcare. He earned his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) in Lewisburg WV. He completed his three years of residency at Bluefield Regional Medical Center (BRMC) in Bluefield WV. He obtain his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University (WVU) in Biochemistry and Microbiology. His interest in medicine started at an early age when he volunteered at the local hospital. Saad Zafar was raised in Beckley.
Ashley Knowlton, RN
Director of NursingAshley joined the Genesis team in 2017. She earned her LPN from Dabney Lancaster in 2004 and her RN in 2006. Raised in Ronceverte, WV she played basketball, softball and volleyball growing up. She is still very active in her church and community such as coaching basketball and softball. She is married and has one daughter. Ashley has a vast nursing experience including surgery, pediatrics, family practice, same day surgery and Urgent Care/ER. However, she feels the geriatric field is the most rewarding and fulfilling.
Lindsey Fleming
Director of AdmissionsLindsey is a 2004 graduate of Glenville State earning a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Management. She has over fourteen years’ experience working as a licensed social worker, assisting individuals and their families who can no longer care for their loved ones. Her primary background is working with adolescents in a home-like atmosphere serving as Utilization Manager and Director of Group Homes. The transition to elder care has been seamless and she enjoys working with seniors. Lindsey is proud to join a team of caring, knowledgeable, and tenured staff who are here to make each day joyful for each resident served.

WE HAVE HAD MANY TESTIMONIALS AND POSITIVE OUTCOMES THAT HAVE COME THROUGH OUR FACILITY. WE HAVE HAD A 25 YEAR OLD WITH A TBI AND COULD NOT WALK, TALK, WAS ON A TRACH, AND COULDNT EAT. BUT WHEN RESIDENT COMPLETED THERAPY AND WAS DISCHARGED TO HOME, HE WALKED OUT OF THE FACILITY ON HIS OWN, WAS ABLE TO EAT, AND WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO HIS PREVIOUS LIFE. WE HAVE ALSO HAD 90 YEAR OLD STROKE PATIENTS THAT HAVE CAME IN FOR REHAB AND MADE A FULL RECOVERY. WE OFFER HEALTHCARE AND REHAB SERVICES THAT SERVE THE NEEDS OF ALL AGES.
