Coronavirus Update
View All UpdatesVaccination is the critical third leg of the stool, along with personal protective equipment and testing, in stemming COVID-19 spread in nursing homes and protecting residents and healthcare workers. This is unquestionably the biggest vaccination effort ever undertaken. The vaccine will help protect both staff and the vulnerable patients and residents they care for and prevent further tragedies. We are very excited to enter what will hopefully be the last phase of this pandemic. read more

Staff is so caring
Dad has only been in Westfield Center for about a week, and we can already see the difference! The staff is so caring toward Dad and have helped us not only learn to help care for him, but be able to do things on his own. Thanks Westfield!
Walking with Mom
I went in to visit with mom in the main room of the Memory Unit. She didn’t recognize me on this day. But I cut her nails and shared the same pictures as I do in every visit hoping a spark will occur. And before I left, I asked if she’d like to take a walk. She doesn’t usually, but on this particular day, she said yes. We walked the hall from one end to the other with small conversation about what we saw and back to her seat in the main room. She said she was tired, but wow! This was a small change, but good for both of us. Although mom needs help walking, I think she enjoyed the short walk - she was smiling. Although smiling and laughing has been part of her process with Dementia, it still made me happy to have a short walk with my mom. So, I think the first change you made is a success for mom and all Homestead patients. Thank you for making an effort to make life better for my mom and all the memory care patients. It’s a small change, but on their level, a powerful one.
Peace of Mind
Thank you for everything you and the Genesis staff do for our Mom! You provide peace of mind at a difficult time for our family.
Staff went above and beyond
The entire staff of the facility went above and beyond in their care for me. At a very difficult time for both me and my family, everyone at the rehabilitation center joined together and gave me the proper care and physical therapy I required. Their skill and dedication to my condition helped me progress and made it possible for me to attend my daughter's wedding, a very important occasion to me and my family. We are extremely fortunate to have a facility in the State of New Jersey that offers a competent and skilled staff of professionals. We should all be proud and grateful to have such an organization locally. I am forever grateful for their dedication and expert care and did not want their efforts to go unrecognized. My family and I are beholden to the professional caretakers at Westfiield Center!
Part of the family
They are very nice people that work there. They made us feel like part of the family. They even arranged time for us to see our aunt. Seeing her made us very happy and she was smiling, I could see through the mask. Thank you!
5 Stars!
My Grandmother has been at Westfield Center for the past few months and I must say that the quality of care that she has been given is hands down the best care I have seen at any facility. We have been to other facilities in the past and my family regrets having her anywhere else. They are taking care of her wounds. She is being given amazing physical therapy for her fall. And she is happily occupied with all of the activities that are offered even with COVID restrictions. We sat at the window the other day to visit her and she was telling us about everyone that comes to her room to check on her and how everyone is very social. This place is wonderful for the physical and mental care and we cannot thank the team enough for all of the Love and Support they have shown during her stay. 5 STARS!
I highly recommend Westfield Center
After my brain surgery, I was very scared and worried about my recovery. A nursing home? I have always heard bad things. When I came to Westfield Center it was quiet, I was in a room by myself, and I had the recovery process was Wonderful! Some friends and family visited me outside during my three week stay and they came to the window. It was so calming and peaceful. I did not have to worry about food, bills, medications, answering the phone, nothing. The food was perfect and just enough. I was able to focus solely on relaxing. I met a lot of people and everyone was so nice to me. A lot of them I respected and a lot of them became instant friends. They even write me and answer their cell phones when I call them to say hello. I truly did not want to leave. I could not recommend Westfield enough.
