Skies Healthcare and Rehabilitation is a skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. We also have a specialized transitional care unit. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. We are the ONLY facility in New Mexico to achieve "Tier 4" status through the AHCA, we are a Gold AHCA Quality Award winner and we are VA contracted!

Lisa S. Noya, MD, FACP, CMD
Medical DirectorDr. Lisa Noya is certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine and has a Fellowship in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Noya also has certification in Medical Directorship by The American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Her group, The Four Humours Healthcare, has a mission to provide exceptional, quality healthcare to patients in New Mexico through the practice of evidence based medicine. In light of the potential harm the pandemic poses for nursing home residents in particular, Dr. Noya is vigilant in ensuring the safety and health of Genesis Healthcare’s patients. Amy Burkart
Director of NursingAmy has been a nurse for over 10 years, working with Skilled and Long Term Care residents with Genesis her entire career. Amy has worked up the career ladder quickly from a floor nurse, Infection Control and Education, Unit Manager and then ultimately Director of Nursing. She has been a Director of Nursing for over 4 years. She has been married for 20 years and has two beautiful daughters, ages 4 and 8. Nursing is her passion and loves to make a difference in her resident’s lives.
Michele Lewis
Director of Marketing and AdmissionsMichele recently transferred to Skies Healthcare after 19 years of service in a Genesis sister facility. She began her career in healthcare in 1979 and developed a love for long-term care. Her belief is, “First impressions are lasting impressions”, thus her goal is that all patients, residents and their families receive excellent care and top notch customer service.
Matthew Whiting
Director of RehabilitationI was born and raised in Albuquerque,NM and attended college here as well. I have been a Physical Therapist Assistant since 2014 and have been with Genesis since 2016. I have worked at multiple Genesis locations in Albuquerque and previously worked at an Outpatient orthopedic clinic.
Wendy Graves, LNHA, MHA
Center Executive DirectorWendy Graves, LNHA, MHA, has over 30 years of experience in the long-term care industry. She began her career as a Dietary Aide, and went on to pursue her Bachelors of Health (Emphasis in Long-Term Care Administration with a Certificate of Gerontology) and her Masters of Health Administration (Emphasis in Long-Term Care Administration) from Ohio University. During that time she also worked as a Nursing Assistant and completed multiple internships and volunteer projects. She obtained her Ohio license as a Nursing Home Administrator in 1997. While in Ohio, she was responsible for the oversight of nursing facilities, assisted livings, and hospital-based units. She was extensively involved in the Alzheimer’s Association, Senior Network organizations, Chambers of Commerce, and numerous other senior service organizations. In 2015, she married and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. She obtained her New Mexico license as a Nursing Home Administrator and joined Genesis HealthCare in 2015 as the Center Executive Director of Uptown Rehabilitation Center. As a military spouse, she moved to Europe for 2 years and returned to New Mexico in 2019 and again joined the Genesis HealthCare team as an Interim Center Executive Director. She obtained her Colorado license as a Nursing Home Administrator and provided administrative support throughout New Mexico and Colorado. She briefly moved back home to Cleveland, Ohio, and returned to Albuquerque, New Mexico as the Center Executive Director of Skies Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
