We also have a specialized transitional care unit. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. We are the ONLY facility in New Mexico to achieve "Tier 4" status through the AHCA, we are a Gold AHCA Quality Award winner and we are VA contracted!

Melissa Martinez, ASN, NHA
Center Executive DirectorMelissa Martinez has been Licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 2015. She has been a nurse for over twenty years, and has worked in Long Term/Skilled Nursing facilities since 1999. She has her Bachelors in Business Administration and Associates in Nursing. Melissa takes pride in coaching her managers and staff to take care of the residents as if they are our own families.

Vanessa Rodriguez
Sr. Center Nurse ExecutiveVanessa has been a Genesis employee since 2014. She received her nursing degree in 2009 from PIMA Medical Institute. Her mission is to provide our residents with comprehensive health care services that will exceed their expectations. As Center Nurse Executive, it’s her priority that Skies Healthcare focuses on the vitality of the person. How and where we can make a difference in the overall well-being, and healthy outlook of everyone we serve. She takes the utmost pride in maintaining and elevating the standards of the nursing profession and the care of our residents.

Jacob Schrecongost
Director of Admissions and MarketingWith nearly 20 years of customer service experience, Jacob is an Air Force veteran who found his calling in 2013 when he began working for Genesis Healthcare. Originally hired as an Admissions Assistant, he has been a Director of Marketing and Admissions since 2017. Every day he brings care and compassion to work with him, and strives to foster an open and honest relationship between Genesis, residents, and loved ones.

Philip Toups
Director of RehabilitationPhilip has been serving the needs of the residents within the New Mexico market since 2013 by serving in his current role and providing quality care to patients with rehabilitative needs. Philip leads a team of expertly trained and compassionate therapists who deliver exceptional care to all residents of Skies on a daily basis. Skies Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center offers the highest industry standard in Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies utilizing evidenced based practice coupled with state of the art modalities to promote expedited, efficient, and patient centered recovery.
