Ritu Rastogi, MD
Medical DirectorWe have made tremendous progress in this pandemic. Our facility’s sole focus is patients and their safety. With help of the Delaware Public Health we have created and strictly followed protocols to ensure the safety of our residents. All staff are tested on a weekly basis regardless of symptomatology. We continue to allow structured visitation both inside and outside of the facilities to prevent the spread of the virus. Our facilities have plenty of PPE to care for the patients and limit risk to both the staff and the residents. With all the safety measures, vigilance and surveillance in place we have not had the outbreak of the virus since July.

Stacion Gibbs
Center Nurse ExecutiveBorn and raised in Dover, Delaware, I started my nursing career as a nursing assistant at Silver Lake Nursing Center. After attaining my Nursing degrees, I went to work at Heritage, Dover Assisted Living Facility as an LPN/RN/Nursing Director. Ten years later, I transferred to Milford Center as the ADON and from there I went to work at Corsica Hills as the Center Nurse Executive. Surprisingly, my greatest challenge was obtaining my Masters of Science in Nursing degree which was achieved in 2018. My life has made a full circle and I am now back where it all began, at Silver Lake Center except now as the Center Nurse Executive. I love working with people and am rewarded everyday as I work with my team to overcome the many challenges our industry faces on a daily basis.

Able to heal better at Silver Lake
I have been in other skilled nursing facilities for short term rehabilitation recently and even though those facilities are newer, the staff at Silver Lake Center is superior. It is very quiet at Silver Lake Center. My recent stay at a local Rehabilitation Center was very loud constantly. The food at Silver Lake Center is better too. I feel that I am able to heal better. The nurse practitioner has been outstanding. She is very patient oriented and was able to correct my insulin regime.
