Raton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. Our staff is dedicated to serving the medical and rehabilitation needs of individuals recovering from an illness or injury.

James Kirkpatrick
Center Executive DirectorJames has been in long term care for almost 10 years, and comes to Raton from Kansas City, Missouri. James is a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, and served 8 years as a Seabee with deployments all around the world including Antarctica. He earned the Combat Service Medal for Wartime for serving in Operation Dessert Storm. After serving in the military he worked in the banking industry as a cash manager for 10 years in San Francisco. James has his Bachelor’s in Social Work, which he got from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio, and has had his Nursing Home Administrator’s License since 2017. In his spare time James enjoys eating out, camping, movies and spending time with friends and family.
Marquita Hahn
Center Nurse ExecutiveMarquita has been in the healthcare field for 2 ½ years, graduating with her BSN from Marian University in Nashville TN. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Marquita is a member of the Army reserves of 13 years and currently serves in Albuquerque, NM as a Major. She is the wife of a retired Army Special Forces sergeant and a mother to 3 boys. She enjoys helping her community and spending time with her family and friends.
Yolanda Gamboa, BSW
Director of Admissions.Yolanda has been in healthcare since 2010. Yolanda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in skilled nursing for 10 years: working graveyards and going to College during the day, as well as caring for her two children. Yolanda graduated from CSU-P in 2018 with her Social Work degree and has plans to continue with her education. Yolanda has been with Genesis HealthCare since 2019. Yolanda’s roles in the center are Social Services Specialist and Director of Admissions. Yolanda is motivated by being able to help others and providing family and residents with support.
Robert Forbeck
Director of RehabilitationRobert is the Director of Rehabilitation at Raton Nursing and Rehab Center.
