Prescott House is located in the heart of old North Andover and the greater Merrimack Valley. We are conveniently located minutes to main routes and major highways and just 25 minutes north of Boston. Prescott House features a Transitional Care Unit on the ground floor with a separate entrance, convenient access to the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy gyms, as well as a pleasant dining space for our short-stay guests. The second floor features a traditional long-term care, as well as a secured memory care unit. State-of-the-art rehabilitation therapy is provided our team of therapy professionals. Our high level of clinical expertise is supported by our full-time nurse practitioner and team of physicians here at Prescott House.

Derek Marchand, MBA, LNHA, CDP
Center Executive DirectorDerek joined Genesis HealthCare in 2011 and recently joined Prescott House as the Center Executive Director in 2018. He is a graduate of Stonehill College with a BA in Healthcare Administration and received an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.Prior to joining the team at Prescott House he was the Executive Director of a 224 bed facility in Medford, MA. Derek's main focus is to enhance the daily lives of all patients, residents, families and Center staff through a high-quality, relational approach to resident and patient care.
Dementia Care Education by Genesis HealthCare is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association® for incorporating the evidenced-based Dementia Care Practice Recommendations in the following topic areas: Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and behaviors and communication.
Melina Hoffman, RN, BSN
Center Nurse ExecutiveMelina started her nursing career at Genesis in the year 2000 as a staff nurse in the memory care unit. Throughout her years with Prescott House, Melina has challenged herself in various roles including charge nurse, 3-11 supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing in 2017 and later became the Center Nurse Executive in 2019. As a nursing leader Melina is dedicated to leading the clinical team in providing care that not only applies the science behind nursing but is also compassionate and patient-centered. In the role of Center Nurse Executive Melina’s primary focus is on providing quality care to all residents through a hands-on approach by partnering with clinical staff in the center.
Colleen Tattan
Director, Marketing & AdmissionsColleen has been employed as a Licensed Social Worker and Admissions Director in Healthcare for over thirty years. She joined Prescott House in 2008. Colleen has acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience as the industry has evolved. She is passionate about assisting customers and their loved ones to navigate the continuum of care.
Pooja Baua, OT, MS, OTR
Director of RehabilitationPooja graduated from Tufts University in 2010 with a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. Prior she worked internationally in acute care hospitals and home care .Pooja has been employed by Genesis as Program Manager and Director of Rehabilitation services since 2019.She joined Prescott House as Director in 2018.She has been recognized for business and clinical excellence in the past. Pooja's primary focus as Director is to improve the quality of life and delivery of care for all patients and residents.
