Pocahontas Center is located in rural Pocahontas County with a small town, family feel. The Center was built in Marlinton, West Virginia in 1985 and went through extensive renovations in 2007. We provide Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitative Care for patients and residents. We are the only rehabilitation center in the county to offer Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. We pride ourselves on the quality of care we provide while giving our residents and patients a home-like experience.

Marie Soriano
Director of NursingMarie has been a registered nurse for 22 years. She started her nursing career as a nursing assistant in long-term care. She completed her Master's Degree in nursing in 2007 and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and recently obtained her certification as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. She has been the Director of Nursing at Pocahontas Center since 1991.

Robin Groves, LPTA
Rehabilitation Program DirectorRobin is a Physical Therapist Assistant and graduated from The College of West Virginia (currently Mountain State University), Beckley WV in 1997 with an Associate Degree. She has been working in the field of Physical Therapy since 1994, including, out patient, skilled nursing, hospital/acute care. She has been working with Genesis since 2003 as a Program Manager.
