Kate Soule
Recreation DirectorAfter earning an interdisciplinary master’s degree focused on somatic psychology at Goddard College in 2012, Kate went on to study somatic counseling at the California Institute of Integral Studies; therapeutic expressive arts facilitation at the world-renowned European Graduate School in Switzerland; and Rosen Method bodywork at the Rosen Berkeley Center. She has over a decade of experience as an expressive arts facilitator working through the mediums of music and choir, literature and creative writing, dance and theater. Most recently she worked with Aegis Senior Living in Corte Madera to create and implement therapeutic musical and holistic programming to support assisted living and memory care residents of that community to remain resilient throughout the challenges posed by Covid restrictions and the wildfires. Kate finds special meaning and joy in the interplay between communal enrichment activities and 1:1 therapeutic work, which is an especially wonderful asset to have in our community during the time of Covid. She also has an infectious enthusiasm that encourages group participation and bonding. We are excited to see the Recreation Department blossom as Kate lends her talents to amplify the aptitudes, hopes and dreams of our residents at Pleasant View Retirement!
