Coronavirus UpdateView All Updates
Vaccination is the critical third leg of the stool, along with personal protective equipment and testing, in stemming COVID-19 spread in nursing homes and protecting residents and healthcare workers. This is unquestionably the biggest vaccination effort ever undertaken. The vaccine will help protect both staff and the vulnerable patients and residents they care for and prevent further tragedies. We are very excited to enter what will hopefully be the last phase of this pandemic. read more

More than pleased
My sister is a happy resident and I've always been more than pleased with the level of care she has received. Since the facility was closed to outside visitors due to the pandemic my admiration and respect has increased exponentially. Most important, of course, the residents are still being cared for with all the additional testing and isolation that is now required. Most impressive to me, though, is how the social and recreational activities have been adapted for these new circumstances -- in-room meals, bingo, chair exercise, manicures, loudspeaker musical events, etc. I appreciate the imagination and energy it has taken to pull all this off. The staff has also devoted time and energy to keeping family members apprised, in twice-weekly zoom meetings, of the facility's health-related status (great!) as well as social activities, including photo slide shows of residents enjoying these events. Staff members are also available by phone and email and, in my experience, have been rapidly and enthusiastically responsive to my questions. To the entire staff: Job well done!
