Owensboro Center is a 162-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Owensboro, KY. The facility also offers a Senior Living. Our on-site, full-time Nurse Practitioner is a huge asset to patient care. The rehabilitation department provides physical, occupational and speech therapy resulting in outstanding outcomes. Paula Thompson
Center Executive DirectorPaula joined the team at Owensboro Center in August of 2019. Paula started her journey in long term care for over 25 years ago in various settings in skilled nursing care across the state of Kentucky. She studied at Western KY University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Institution Administration and Dietetics and attend Eastern KY University where she obtained a Master of Science degree. She brings with her a strong spirit of dedication, commitment and advocacy to the residents of Owensboro Center. Her specialty is mentoring individuals to improve the lives touched while providing high-quality healthcare and everyday compassion.

Karen Ryer
Center Nurse ExecutiveKaren Reyer is our CNE. She has been in Long term care since 1995. Karen has worked in various management roles before becoming the CNE 1 year ago. She has been married for 27 years has 2 adult children and 1 grandchild that is the light of her life.
Heather Snowden, AGAC-NP
Nurse PractitionerHeather Snowden is our NP. She is here Monday - Friday 7am-3pm. She has been in nursing for 19 years and 9 of those years she worked in ICU. She is an excellent addition to our staff.
Lindsey Brown, MS OTR/L
Director of RehabilitationLindsey graduated from Spalding University in 2006 with a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy, and she has 8 years of experience working with geriatrics and long-term care. Lindsey has been with Genesis Rehab Services for 2 years.
