Coronavirus Update
View All UpdatesDear Family and Friends,
We understand the huge toll that separation has taken on our residents and families. We are excited to announce that our Genesis-affiliated Centers will now allow indoor visitation at all times and for all residents (regardless of vaccination status), with the exception of the three scenarios listed below. CMS, the federal agency that regulates nursing centers, has updated its visitation guidance due to high resident vaccination rates and a drop in COVID-19 cases around the country. read more

Tremendous help from staff
Mr. Teriele had a prolonged hospital stay after being admitted for an aortic aneurysm. Before going to the hospital he was very active, working daily on his family’s farm, even at 84. During his hospital stay, he required multiple surgeries and a long stay in the ICU due to the complexity of his medical issues. When he arrived at Mountain View, he was not well, and required assistance with many daily activities. However, farmers are known for their fortitude, and John was no different, he was determined to get back on his feet.
Through many weeks of hard work from him, and dedication from the treatment team, and his loving family, John was able to walk out of the center he was wheeled in to. The amount of progress that John made in just a short while was absolutely remarkable, and even though he may not be out on the tractor cutting hay right away, he will surely be able to regain a sense of normalcy. On the day of his discharge, John was beaming ear to ear, “These people have helped me tremendously, and I can’t thank them enough!
An absolute wonderful place
One of the most challenging decisions our family had to make was to move a loved one into a full-time facility. Shortly after doing so, we realized that Genesis Mountain View was an absolutely wonderful place. The care is phenomenal, the communication is transparent and the genuine concern for all of us is real. The staff has treated us like family and working with Andrew, Christine, and others has been exceptional. If you are faced with the same tough decision, give Genesis Mountain View a try. We are glad we did!
