"The reception I got was warm and friendly - everyone knew I was upset and nervous and they calmed my anxiety. At first I started on my physical therapy once a day, then I got myself up to twice a day. I got my muscles moving but also I started to feel better about myself mentally once I got a better understanding of my diagnosis. I love the way they have the meal choices for my diet, and I can go into the dining room or have my meal served to me hot from the steam table right in my room! The place is neat and clean; and everyone is willing to help. It is like having a big family looking out for you, I wish that there were more places like this where the clientele is the most important person - their mental, physical, and medical needs come first. This is the first and only facility I have been to, and would come again if I needed it and would tell anyone to come here. This Center has a heart when caring for your heart!" - Joan A.
Chose to return
I had rehabilitation at Meriden Center in 2013 and everything was good. I choose to return in 2019 and I'm happy to say its still just as good! The rehab staff is great and my room is very nice.

Wonderful nursing care
I've been at this facility for 11 years on and off and the last 6 straight years they have treated me with dignity, respect and professional care. Its starts from admissions who handles her job with strength and empathy for perspective residents and continues with wonderful nursing care. The recreation department has meaningful activities that suits everyone. The rehabilitation department excels at helping us maintain our independence. Overall I'm pleased to be a resident at Meriden Center.
