Marshwood Center is a skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. Marshwood utilizes the 'Easy Street Environments' rehabilitation program which has a unique set-up of an ATM, working apartment with front porch, car and more to allow for practice with real-life community situations. Our goal is to help patients regain strength and functional skill levels so they can return home as quickly and safely as possible. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. We are an AHCA Bronze Quality Award winner!

Meghan Welch
Center Executive DirectorMeghan attended the University of Southern Maine where she graduated with her Bachelor’s in Social Work, with a minor in Human Development and Family Relations. She is a licensed Multi-Level Nursing Home Administrator who joined Genesis HealthCare in 2015 and brings more than 10 years of experience working in long-term care to Marshwood Center. She was previously in the role of Admission Director in many Southern Maine Genesis facilities. Meghan prides herself for having proficient communication, customer service and organizational skills.

Diane Price
Center Nurse ExecutiveDiane has been with Sandy River Center for 11 years, beginning her career in Geriatrics as a Certified Nursing Assistant while attending nursing school. She obtained her Wound Care Certification in 2010. Diane has experience in acute and sub-acute care. She has worked as a Nurse Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing and became Center Nurse Executive in 2016. Diane and the Nursing Team are committed to Person Centered Care. She inspires her team to strive for excellence in all aspects of patient care.

Michelle Fish
Director of Admissions and MarketingMichelle has joined Genesis HealthCare as the Director of Admissions and Marketing at Marshwood Center. Michelle has enjoyed working in the healthcare, Assisted Living, Independent Living, Skilled and Long-term Care field for over 20 years. She has a passion for providing excellent customer service and developing relationships with patients and their families. She is very compassionate about Marketing and building relationships in the community. Her goal is to make the admissions process easy and welcoming for the patients and their families. She is active in many organizations as a regular volunteer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, her cat Tito and her pug Piper, and friends. Please join us in welcoming Michelle to the Marshwood team!

Amanda Carroll
Rehabilitation Program DirectorAmanda has a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (2004) and a Master's degree in Physical Therapy (2005) from University of New England in Biddeford/Wesbrook, Maine. Amanda has several years of experience in the skilled nursing/long term care setting and specializes in treating patients with brain injury and dementia. She has a passion for geriatrics and is happy to have joined the Marshwood team in 2017.

After extensive rehab at Marshwood Center, Eugene improved to independence with all mobility, gait with a rollator, and supervision on stairs. He was successfully discharged to an Assisted Living.
