On June 16, 17 and 18, 2020, Genesis will honor employees who heroically provided care during the COVID-19 pandemic. On these Genesis National Employee Recognition Days, more than 350 Genesis affiliated skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across the nation will honor the incredible heroism, resolve and sacrifice of more than 50,000 frontline caregivers and workers fighting this pandemic. Regional and corporate staff have also shown extraordinary leadership, ingenuity, creativity and teamwork supporting the efforts on the ground. Patrick TownsendCenter Executive Director
Patrick has lived in Connecticut for the majority of his life. He attended Southern Connecticut State University where he earned his BS in Business Management. Later he received his MBA at the University of Phoenix. He has more than 20 years experience in the post acute arena. Patrick is also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maine. He has extensive experience with various patient populations. Patrick's main focus is to provide quality care for all of his residents.

Lisa is the Center Nurse Executive at Madison House.
Shannon ValliDirector of Admissions
Shannon has been a member of the Genesis team for 5 years. She has held several roles with us from Receptionist to Assistant Admissions Coordinator and has now joined the Madison House team as Director of Admissions. Shannon’s main focus is always on building relationships with our residents and family members and makes it a priority to ensure all of our patients feel welcome from the moment they come through our doors. She is looking forward to getting to know the Madison community.
Marlena AndrukiewiczDirector of Rehabilitation
Marlena is an occupational therapist working with Genesis Rehab Services for three years, under the title of Director of Rehabilitation at Madison House for the last year. Marlena graduated with a Master Degree in Occupational Therapy from Bay Path University with previous bachelor degrees in Communication Disorders and Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Marlena initially began her career at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT. Marlena is licensed in physical agent modalities including electric stimulation and ultrasound. Marlena is fluent in Polish and is passionate about her dog Lars, who frequently visits in the rehabilitation gym.

I visited my friend here while they stayed on the short term rehab unit. I was impressed with how clean and bright the facility was. The staff was helpful and pleasant. I would definitely keep this facility in mind for any future needs.
