We understand the huge toll that separation has taken on our residents and families. We are excited to announce that our Genesis-affiliated Centers will now allow indoor visitation at all times and for all residents (regardless of vaccination status), with the exception of the three scenarios listed below. CMS, the federal agency that regulates nursing centers, has updated its visitation guidance due to high resident vaccination rates and a drop in COVID-19 cases around the country. read more

Professional consultation from both a pulmonologist and physiatrist are provided on a weekly basis. Shanique Mightly
Center Executive DirectorShanique has been working in the sub-acute and long term care setting for 10+ years. She began her career at Harrington Court as a certified nursing assistant and has worked in a multitude of roles within the company including Nursing, Admissions, Marketing, and Administration. Shanique graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors in Economics. She then went on to complete her Certificate in Long Term Care Administration through the University of Connecticut. Shanique is very passionate, energetic, and driven to lead a dynamic team at Harrington Court, where quality care is the focus of our values. When Shanique is not working she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and traveling.

Dr. James Gallagher
Medical DirectorDr. Gallagher is a graduate of the George Washington School of Medicine. He completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He has been practicing Internal Medicine in the outpatient and inpatient setting and since 2012, the long-term setting. His focus has been on post-acute and short-term care in addition to providing continuous care to long-term residents. He joined Genesis Physician Services in August, 2012 as an Attending Physician and has served as Medical Director at multiple buildings. He currently is the Medical Director at Harrington Court and has been since 2017. He enjoys the opportunity to provide patients and residents with the tools to enhance their quality of life and maximize their potential. In light of the potential harm the pandemic poses for nursing home residents in particular, Dr. Gallagher is vigilant in ensuring the safety and health of Genesis Healthcare’s patients. Carole Garfield
Center Nurse ExecutiveCarole Garfield graduated from Saint Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1996, where she was honored to receive the “M” pin for demonstrating the ideals of nursing. Upon graduation, Carole was certified in Infection Control, and has spent her many years of experience in establishing a living and working environment that is safe for residents and staff alike. Carole’s Infection Control experience has become increasingly needed in these ever changing and challenging times.
Carole prides herself on her commitment to her residents, families, and staff, prioritizing education and team building in promoting a shared goal of a positive environment. Carole utilizes Federal and State regulations to teach and guide the care for our residents. During her 24 years of experience, Carole has worn the hats of many roles throughout her career ,as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Nurse Educator, Infection Control Nurse, Clinical Liaison, Regional Nurse, and Consultant, and has managed a new CT program for a prominent Hospice Company.
Carole resides in Middletown with her partner Eldon and has raised three beautiful adult children. She looks forward to rekindling her love of live music when it is safe to return to concerts together as well as spending time with her children and is looking forward to the planning for her son’s upcoming wedding in 2021.

Tricia Velte
Director of Admissions and MarketingTricia lives in Norwich, Connecticut with her husband. She moved to New England many years ago and raised her family here. Tricia has been in the healthcare field for over 30 years. Working with the elderly and rehabilitation patients is very gratifying for her. Helping to make the transition from the hospital to home or home to long term care can be difficult but Tricia tries to make the move as smooth as possible. Elizabeth "Libby" Ibey, MSOTR/L
Director of RehabilitationLibby has been the Director of Rehab at Harrington Court since 2013. She has been an employee of Genesis Rehab Services since 2003. Libby received a Master’s Degree in Science and Occupational Therapy from University of New England in Biddeford, Maine in 2002. She lives in Colchester, CT with her husband and two children.

Lovely picnic
Thank you so very much for the lovely picnic in honor of Parent's Day! We had such a nice time with my mom, Jane (resident). Very well done! Food was delicious and staff so upbeat and friendly.
