Harbor Hill Center is a skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care services. We also offer an assisted/senior living unit. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances for skilled nursing care. In 2020, Harbor Hill Center received the AHCA Quality Initiative Recognition for achieving quality improvement across all four program tiers.

Garth Berenyi, CED, BS, MSPT, MLNHA
Center Executive DirectorGarth graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education with a minor in Business Administration. Garth also attended the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Upon completing his Master's degree Garth came back to Maine and immediately began working in skilled nursing and long term care and underwent and completed a six month full time AIT program. Since that time he has worked closely with regional community partners in areas of emergency planning, Accountable Care Organizations, and improving collaboration and transitions of care.

Kim Ward, RN
Center Nurse ExecutiveKim brings 38 years of nursing experience to the CNE role. After finishing her nursing degree in Iowa, Kim spent many years traveling the country working primarily in CCU and emergency and trauma services. Some of these positions were charge and managerial in nature. Working as a CNA during nursing school adds insight to her role as nursing supervisor. She joined the Harbor Hill team with change and challenge in mind. Kim and her family spend time hiking, fishing, camping and kayaking in the summers. Wintertime finds Kim refinishing furniture. She and her spouse have 6 children and 13 grandchildren. Kim is looking forward to a long future with Harbor Hill.

Karin Stupca, LSW
Director of Admissions and MarketingKarin spent her childhood in Ohio and is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Social Work. After many years of following her Coast Guard husband around the country from Alaska to Virginia, the family settled in Maine in 2001. She returned to Social Work in 2013 when her four children were older. Karin’s background includes work with intellectual disabilities, mental health case management, crisis pregnancies and older adults. She began working part time for Genesis as the Social Service Assistant at Windward Gardens in 2015. In 2018, she accepted the position of Director of Social Services at Harbor Hill. The following year Karin moved into the role of Director of Admissions and Marketing where she enjoys being a liaison between her community and the Genesis Harbor Hill campus.

Megan Moitoso, MS,OTR/L
Director of RehabilitationMegan is a 2003 graduate of the University of New England with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences. She leads the treatment team drawing on her clinical experience in acute rehab on the complex medical unit at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, geri-psych day- and inpatient- treatment centers in Fall Rivers and Taunton, Mass, and nursing and acute care rehabilitation experiences at facilities around New England. Megan joined the Harbor Hill team in 2007. Our patients have benefited from her expertise in these areas: neuro, cardiopulmonary, mental health, joint replacement, dementia, and amputation related rehab. Megan’s off-hours are spent enjoying Maine’s coastal communities and pursuing multiple outdoor hobbies and sports with her husband and two children.

Harbor Hill has been very, very helpful. The meals... we eat all the time. They have the greatest cook here - better than a restaurant. The nurses, all the people around here, are so helpful... very polite. The rehab department is right after you - works you a lot. Way about excellent!
