Coronavirus Update
View All UpdatesDear Family and Friends,
We understand the huge toll that separation has taken on our residents and families. We are excited to announce that our Genesis-affiliated Centers will now allow indoor visitation at all times and for all residents (regardless of vaccination status), with the exception of the three scenarios listed below. CMS, the federal agency that regulates nursing centers, has updated its visitation guidance due to high resident vaccination rates and a drop in COVID-19 cases around the country. read more

Hamilton Arms Center is a proud part of the Lancaster Community. Located on the west side, near Franklin and Marshall College and the downtown historic area, our patients and residents represent a cross section of true Lancaster county. Our newly renovated facility has a designated ShortStay Unit for patients that are not quite capable to return home alone after a hospital stay. Our LongTerm residents call the second floor home and enjoy various community activities. Feeling like a new person
"I am glad I picked Hamilton Arms for my rehabilitation after my fall and broken hip. The service I received from staff, nurses, aids, etc. was excellent. The physical therapy was above excellent and I am happy to say I will be going home feeling like a new person. The food was excellent and I made many friends whom I will cherish. Keep up the good work Hamilton Arms. Thank you and God Bless" - J.M.I.
Outstanding level of kindness
I recently read an unflattering letter regarding Hamilton Arms a few months ago, so when I needed a nursing home for my mother, I was skeptical. After visiting the facility, I was so impressed with the kindness and friendliness of the staff and all it had to offer. I decided to have my mom go there and it turned out to be the best decision I've ever made.
The personal-care workers and therapists were outstanding and the nurses and CNAs were wonderful. They treated my mother as though she was their own, and I felt like they were my friends.
My mom was in a difficult condition when she was admitted and needed a lot of care. The therapists worked so hard with her to try to get her as good as she could be.
I couldn't have asked for more for my mom and I would recommend Hamilton Arms to anyone looking for rehabilitation or a nursing facility for their loved one. Hats off to all who cared for my mother. You are the best, and I give you "five stars"!

Warm, friendly and caring
Recently, our father was facing serious health issues prohibiting his return home. As a family, we were faced with nursing care, with very few options. Knowing little to nothing about Hamilton Arms, we toured the facility, thinking this would be where our father would spend his remaining days. Opening this new chapter for our family was unsettling. The following day he was admitted. During the second visit, we felt relaxed and at peace with our decision. In the following weeks, the we got to know the staff, who were warm, friendly and caring. We wish to extend a very heartfelt "thank you" to all the staff for their individual compassion, comfort and care.

We are forever grateful
We would like to publicly thank the staff of Hamilton Arms for the 16 months of dedicated care they showed for our mother.
The respect, kindness and care shown to her was above and beyond our expectations, and we are forever grateful.
We take comfort in knowing she was so well cared for by the wonderful staff at Hamilton Arms.
Thank you and God bless,
-V.G. & T.G.
Extremely grateful
My feelings and end results were very good! I am extremely grateful for therapy, and how quickly recovery occurred, without much pain or soreness. The staff were extremely efficient, overly kind and respectful in all ways. I immediately rusted them with whatever treatment they needed to provide. Everyone in PT and OT are angels. I am going home confident in what I can do, and areas that I need to improve. Slow and easy with everything. My sincerest thanks and gratitude to all.
Sincerely,
-J.G.
Excellent treatment at Hamilton Arms
I had a stroke and was in Hamilton Arms for four months. During that time, I experienced excellent treatment from the nurses and aides and was well cared for. My physical therapy was the best. I can now walk with a cane, with assistance, and I am improving every day, thanks to the care I received there. I would recommend Hamilton arms to anyone who needs full or part-time care.

Awesome staff
When I first came to Hamilton Arms Center, the only walking I had done, was around my hospital bed. In less than three weeks’ time the staff had me walking on my own, without assistance. I am able to dress and shower and complete my activities of daily living, and am getting ready to return home. There are some awesome staff here. I love and appreciate you all.

Excellent care
In the short time that I have been here, I have received excellent care. I have notice and observed the professional mannerisms and the staff is devoted to making the patients care a priority. The caring staff were not only interested in getting the patients well, but providing the personal attention that they needed. The therapy department has therapy dogs, and the interaction with the animals really helps to strengthen the connection. Great job gang!

Wonderful
I only have one word to describe my thoughts of my stay at Hamilton Arms, wonderful. The therapy team are something special that I will never forget. They make you feel so welcome and find a way to look at the positive side of life. I can remember when I first came, and could barely get around. The staff encouraged me and said I could do it, and guess what I am doing all those things and more. I must say, if for any reason I were to need to come back, I would not hesitate for a minute.

Wonderful experience
I have had a wonderful experience with my physical and occupational therapy. Everyone is always positive and ready to listen to my concerns. Frankly, I am going to miss each and every one of them.
Sincerely,
-A.D.
Kindness
I really appreciate the therapy program at Hamilton Arms. The program is so diversified that it covers all aspects of retraining the human body so that it is truly functional again. The personnel and their kindness together with the warmth of the animals (therapy dogs) brings one quickly to the feeling of wellbeing we are looking for.
Thank you for your kindness.

Enjoyed the staff
My experience at Hamilton Arms has really been helpful. I really enjoyed the staff. The ladies in therapy are so caring, kind and patient. If I ever need therapy again I would like it to be with the Hamilton Arms team. Great Job.

Compassion and encouragement
The Hamilton Arms therapist have been remarkable. I arrived here, after almost three weeks in the hospital. I was extremely weak, unable to sit up without help, or to lift my legs onto the wheelchair leg rests. The staff showed compassion and encouragement. They allowed me to gain strength slowly but steadily and to rest as needed. I was encouraged to try new exercises even when my muscles trembled, and I was too terrified to take another step. Neither made me do anything beyond my capabilities, and were right by my side the whole time. In summary, all of the therapists were amazing and contributed greatly to overcoming the weakness from my long hospital stay. I am immensely grateful for their help and the adorable dogs made visits to the therapy gym so much more enjoyable.
