Les Hakey
Marketing and Admissions DirectorLes is originally from Bellows Falls, VT and graduated from UVM but has lived in the NYC and Charleston, SC areas as well. He has enjoyed providing quality service to retirement communities as a caregiver, Medtech and marketing professional. Les also has previous experience in technology sales and teaching middle school Social Studies. He enjoys reading, kayaking and walking his dog Rosie.

Tabitha Blackler
Director of Social ServicesTabitha is a Burlington, VT native and has worked in the field of Geriatrics since 2015, primarily within Skilled Nursing Facilities. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a focus in Gerontology from Southern New Hampshire University. She looks forward to making a difference in the lives of those who call Burlington Health and Rehab their home. Personally, she is a devoted mother and wife, who spends her personal time creating lasting memories with her family.
Dr. Mark Pitcher
Medical DirectorDr. Pitcher, MD has over 35 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from University of Rochester in 1987. He was Chief Resident from 1990-1991, and has been part of UVM’s Clinical Faculty since 1990. Dr. Pitcher is an ABIM Board Certified physician and has served as the Medical Director for Burlington Health and Rehabilitation since 1995. Dr. Pitcher also currently serves as an associate Medical Director with the VNA Hospice Program, and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Pitcher is a baseball fan who enjoys watching the Yankees.
Melissa Weston
Director of RehabilitationMelissa comes to us through Powerback Rehabilitation as our new Director of Rehabilitation with 15 years of skilled nursing center experience. She is originally from Bethel, VT and obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy from UVM. Melissa enjoys yoga, hiking with her dog Mookie and spending quality family time with her 3 daughters. “I enjoy helping seniors maintain their mobility and quality of life. I believe in patient-centered care and helping patients reach their personal goals.”
