Before becoming Bennington Health & Rehab's Administrator, Tabitha Davis-Barron received her Bachelor's in Health Science from Castleton State University and a Master's of Science from Sage Graduate School. After graduating, she began a career in occupational therapy in Glens Falls, New York. She was the Rehab Director at Bennington Health and Rehab for ten years and promoted to Regional Director of Rehab. She took the lead as the Center's Administrator in May of 2023.
Jesper Brickley, DOMedical Director
Dr. Jesper Brickley is a family doctor with a special interest in geriatrics and palliative care. Originally from Montana, he was drawn to the outdoors ethic of Vermont.
Dr. Brickley attended Western University of Health Science in Pomona, California for osteopathic medical school. He completed his residency at the University of Colorado - Denver. After completing his residency, he moved to Vermont, where he worked for Grace Cottage Hospital for 2 years. Moving forward, he is now the Medical Director at Bennington Health and Rehab.
Prior to medical school, he studied Latin American studies at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. He spent a year in Ecuador, learning Spanish, and interning at Gran Sumaco National Park in the eastern rainforest region.
Dr. Brickley lives in Dummerston with his wife, 2 children, and various other creatures. He is passionate about health equality, compassionate care, and partnering with his patients for optimal health.
Christopher OldhamAdmissions Director
With a background in nonprofit management and marketing for nearly two decades, Christopher brings a wealth of talent, breadth of creativity, and professional resources to his new position at Bennington Health and Rehab. He was born and raised in Bennington and served on the Bennington Select Board for nine years and on boards for eleven local organizations. He has been deeply rooted and involved with many initiatives and organizations in the area during and before his work as Executive Director for Park McCullough and the Bennington County Coalition for the Homeless. He was also the Circulation Marketing Manager for New England Newspapers Inc and author of the children's book, "A Father's Letter To His Son."
Samantha ArrowsmithDirector of Social Services
Samantha has over a decade of experience in social work in nonprofits and skilled nursing facilities. Before joining the Bennington Health and Rehab team, she was a case manager at the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont and Associate Director at (GBCS) Greater Bennington Community Services. Samantha's passion for helping others and solving problems has driven her to join the Bennington Health and Rehab team as our Director of Social Services.
Ashley Callanan COTA/Director of Rehabilitation
Ashley Callanan COTA/L, is dedicated to providing personalized service to her patients as they recover by delivering an empowered rehabilitation approach centered on helping them regain their strength.
Her passion is to help people restore dignity and rebuild their lives with skill sets that allow them to thrive is what set her on a medical journey. First, Ashley was as a licensed nursing assistant thirteen years ago at Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She soon became our Rehab Technician and enrolled in Maria College A.A.S-Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Ashley graduated in 2017 and spent time working per diem at the Center while also working in pediatric rehab before returning full-time as our Director of Rehabilitation.
