Charisse Emerick
Center Executive Director

Charisse earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University. She obtained her LNHA in 2010. Started her career with Genesis HealthCare in 2004 and worked at Madison Center from 2013 until August 2016 when she joined the team at Bey Lea Village. Charisse is committed to providing excellent customer service, quality care and a positive working environment for all employees. 

Kathleen James
Center Nurse Executive

After graduating from Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing, Kathleen began her nursing career in an acute care setting where she developed a passion for both acute nursing and the geriatric population.  This combination made an easy migration into long term care as it encompassed both.  Kathleen transitioned into long term care as a floor nurse until she was promoted to staff educator and eventually becoming ADON and ultimately CNE.

Melissa Johnson-Serra
Admissions Director

Melissa has been with Genesis HealthCare since 2005. Originally from New York, Melissa has worked in various positions within the healthcare field.  Melissa emphasizes a customer service approach to promote a seamless coordination of Bey Lea Village’s admissions.  Melissa has excellent communication skills which enables her to guide customers by managing the admissions process including assistance with healthcare, financial, and placement decisions.  Melissa works efficiently with hospital, physician, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident information assuring the residents admissions process into the Center is a stress free transition.

Ken Czenis
Director of Rehabilitation

Ken graduated with a Business Administration undergraduate degree from The College of New Jersey.  Ken worked as a computer programmer before returning to school to be an Occupational Therapist.  He graduated with a Masters Degree of Occupational Therapy from Richard Stockton University.  Ken worked as an Occupational Therapy for a year at our sister facility before transferring to Bey Lea Village where he after several years was promoted to Director of Rehab.
