Gary Bauer
Center Executive Director

Gary Bauer has been with Genesis HealthCare since 2000, and has been an Licensed Administrator since 2001. He served at Centers in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He transitioned to this PowerBack location in 2010. Gary has a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Rutgers University and he received his Master's in Health Administration from Towson University.

Richelle Pernell
Director of Nursing

Shelly has been with Genesis Health Care since 1995, beginning as an LPN. She obtained her RN diploma from Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing. She worked at Cooper River West until entering the Leadership Development Program-traditional DON track-in 2010. Shelly came to Liberty Court in March 2012 as an interim ADON, transitioning to Director of Nursing in August 2012. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Thomas Edison.

Stacey Mellen
Admissions Director

Stacey has been with Genesis HealthCare since 2012. She began her career as a Customer Relations Coordinator before joining PowerBack Center City as the Assistant Admissions Director. Stacey transitioned into the Admissions Director role in June 2014. Stacey graduated from Penn State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation.

Jim Dugan
Director of Rehabilitation

Jim Dugan has been the Director of Rehabilitation at PowerBack Center City since January 2011. He graduated from Temple University with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Hahnemann University with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies, and his MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He spent the first seven years of his therapy career as a staff clinician with a focus on neurologic conditions at Moss Rehab Hospital, and he has two years of experience as a health care business consultant. Jim has spent the last seven years helping to grow sub-acute businesses and develop staff to provide the most intensive sub-acute services to get patients home quickly and safely.
