Rick Strong
Center Executive Director

Rick became Administrator of Meridian Center in November of 2014. Prior to obtaining the position of Administrator, Rick was the Director of Marketing and Admissions for Apex Center in Boise. Rick has over 13 years of experience in long-term and sub-acute healthcare dating back to 1997 where he started as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Rick understands the importance of quality care and strives to provide patients with the highest level of quality care and compassion possible. Rick graduated from Boise State University in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science-Public Administration. A native to Idaho, Rick enjoys spending time with his daughter in the mountains, fishing, and Boise State Football.

Travis Giese, RN, BSN
Center Nurse Executive

Travis began his career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2002. First working in the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical Unit and Burn Unit in Texas at Brooke Army Medical Center. After transitioning out of the military service, Travis continued to pursue his educational goals to become a Registered Nurse and graduated from Lewis Clark State College with a BSN in 2007. Since then he has worked in the Long Term Care, Home Health and Hospice environment. Travis came to Meridian Center after over two years as the Center Nurse Executive with Genesis HealthCare Twin Falls Center.

Buffy Stewart
Admissions Coordinator

Buffy has been with Genesis HealthCare since 2012. She understands the importance of quality care and makes every effort to provide patients with the highest level of care and compassion. Buffy is no stranger to healthcare, having spent over 25 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Medication Tech, 9 years as a phlebotomist, 7 years in central supply, 5 years in staff scheduling, 3 years as a dialysis tech, and 1 year as a dietary manager. She enjoys working with her patients and is a strong advocate for their quality of life.

Beki Baxter
Director of Rehabilitation

After receiving her degree, Beki has gained experience in pediatric and adult settings. Beki particularly enjoys working with stroke patients and the geriatric populations to find therapeutic activities that are patient specific and will increase their quality of life as well as identify home modifications for increased independence at home. Beki enjoys music, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
