LANGDON PLACE OF KEENE RAISES $10,673 FOR ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S®

Langdon Place of Keene, a Genesis HealthCare senior living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located at 136A Arch Street in Keene, NH., announced today that it raised $10,673 for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.  Langdon Place of Keene offers a range of skilled nursing and rehabilitation therapy to adults of all ages who need short or long-term care as well as specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of Dementia.  Langdon Place of Keene also offers a variety of sizes and styles of apartments for older adults interested in enjoying an independent lifestyle, as well as assisted living for older adults with health care concerns who may require assistance with some daily tasks, but do not need full-time nursing care.  

 

More than 20 participants from Langdon Place of Keene joined the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s® and united in a movement to reclaim the future for millions.  For their achievement, Langdon Place of Keene will be presented with a trophy for being 1 of the 3 teams to raise over $10,000 within Genesis.  Langdon Place of Keene raised the second most funds of any of the more than 500 Genesis HealthCare centers nationwide.  Genesis HealthCare raised over $254,000 company-wide as a Gold Level National Team.

 

“I was inspired by Langdon Place of Keene and Genesis HealthCare participants nationwide joining in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said Chief Executive Officer George V. Hager, Jr.  “With the funds raised, the Alzheimer’s Association will be able to provide much needed education, support services and care to families affected by this devastating disease, as well as fund critically-needed Alzheimer’s research.”
