Maureen Powers, PT, DPT, LNHA
Center Executive Director

Maureen attended Simmons College for her undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy and Salem State University for a Master’s Degree in Education. She is licensed in Massachusetts as both a nursing home administrator and physical therapist. Her career in subacute and long-term care spans over 35 years.  Prior to joining Hathorne Hill, Maureen was a Vice President of Education and Development for a large nursing home company. She has a passion for implementing programs that improve quality of care, focus on person centered care and facilitate safe transitions across the continuum of care.  She is a member of the Massachusetts Fall Prevention Coalition and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. In 2016, she was recognized by National Council of Dementia Practitioners as a Distinguished Educator.

Theresa Birmingham
Director of Nursing

Terri graduated from Saint Anselm College in 1987 with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing. She worked at Boston Medical Center for 23 years and her entire career was focused on Oncology and is certified in Oncology Nursing. She is also certified in chemotherapy administration and also a member of the Oncology Nursing Soceity. The years of experience at Boston Medical Center involved inpatient and outpatient care, as well as stem cell transplant and participation in clinical trials. In May of 2010 she joined Genesis as the Assistant Director of Nurses at Academy Manor. In December 2012 she was promoted to Director of Nursing at Academy Manor. Terri joined Hathorne Hill in September 2014.

Nicole Chouinard
Admissions Director

Nicole Chouinard has worked in the healthcare field since 2007. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics. Nicole's passion is to serve the needs of the community and to provide both patients and families the assurance and comfort they need for a smooth transition.

Jennifer Kolinka, OTR/L
Director of Rehabilitation

Jennifer graduated from Boston University  with a BS in Occupational Therapy.  She has been an occupational therapist for 13 years, with the majority of her experience with the older adult and medically complex population.  Jennifer has a great understanding of what skills are needed for someone to discharge to home safely and which services are available to our clients in the community in order to remain at home.  Jennifer joined Genesis HealthCare in 2013.
