Sheila Houchins
Director of Nursing

Sheila is a graduate of Western Kentucky University. She began her nursing career at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. In 1994, Sheila was given the opportunity to become the first Director of Nursing at Edmonson Health Care, a new skilled nursing facility in Brownsville, KY. Sheila used this position to develop policies and procedures, and worked diligently to ensure residents were provided with the quality of care that they so richly deserved. Because of a family illness, she resigned from Edmonson Health Care in 2008 after 14 years of service. During the time away, Sheila proudly served as the District Nurse with the Edmonson County Board of Education. In this position, Sheila avidly provided nursing services for all 5 schools in the district. Because she has a great passion for the geriatric population, and Edmonson Center has always been special to her, she returned as the Director of Nursing in March of 2015.
