Our Leadership Team

Jessica Dukes
Center Executive Director

Jessica was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She earned her BA from Salisbury University in 2000 and her MA from Washington College in 2002. She began her career in healthcare in 1997.  During her career she has served as the Director of Social Services and the Senior Director of the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Unit and Program. In 2016, she became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and returned to Chesapeake Woods Center as the Center Executive Director in the fall of 2017. Jessica is dedicated to providing high quality care to all residents.

Susan Wingate
Director of Nursing

Susan has practiced nursing exclusively in Dorchester County for 42 years. She has been the Director of Nursing at Chesapeake Woods Center since 2001. She is a certified Parrish nurse and active in the community. Susan is a Board Certified Lay Speaker for the Peninsula Delaware United Methodist Conference and is a Lifetime Member of the Madison Volunteer Fire Department. She has served for more than 30 years as the Liaison for the Medical Services Students at the Vo-tech Center. She also serves on the Social Services Board of Dorchester County and on the Care and Share Board. 

Erin Grubb
Homestead Program Director

Erin has been in dementia care since 2010, starting her career in the great state of Ohio where she was born & raised. She earned her Bachelors in Gerontology and Masters in Public Health Administration (2014), both from Bowling Green State University. Erin then found her way to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, accepting the Homestead Program Director position at Corsica Hills in 2014. She then transferred to Chesapeake Woods in 2016. Erin is fully dedicated to her residents and their quality of life. She believes that educating and involving family members is an important part of a successful program.
