Monica Lockett, NHA
Center Executive Director

Monica has been a Licensed Administrator since 2004 and has worked for Genesis HealthCare since December of 2002.  Monica is originally from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, but has been a West Virginian since 1994.  She holds an undergraduate degere in Journalism from West Virginia University and a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration from Marshall University in South Charleston, WV.  Monica is a member of the Shepherdstown Rotary Club.  She is a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award.  Monica plays an active role in her local church.  She enjoys one on one time with residents and patients and encourages friends, family and staff to be a part of the great things that are happening at Canterbury Center.

Eveline Vreugdenhil, RN
Director of Nursing

Eveline is originally from the Netherlands where she earned her Nursing Degree and has traveled the world utilizing her nursing skills.  She has more than 40 years of experience and is committed to ensuring patients and residents receive the care they deserve and demand.  She has been a member of the Canterbury team since January of 2000.  She speaks five languages including Dutch, English, Spanish, French and German.  Eveline lives locally in Shepherdstown, WV.

Kimberly Bowman
Admissions Director

Kimberly Bowman has been with Genesis HealthCare since 2001.  Kim is originally from Oklahoma but has lived in West Virginia since 1997.  Kim enjoys assisting patients as they transition from the hospital to the skilled unit for short stay care and getting to know the patients and their families.  Kim feels like the staff and patients at Canterbury are a part of her family.

Ruth Ann Burns
Rehabilitation Program Director

Ruth Ann has been with Genesis since 2002 and has been with Canterbury Center since 2008.  She attended Shenandoah University for her undergraduate studies in Health Sciences and Sports Medicine and for both her Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Physical Therapy.  She is a clinical instructor for both Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant students, specializes in skin integrity issues and coordinates mentoring of therapists in our area.  Ruth enjoys photography, reading, cycling, hiking and sightseeing.  She feels grateful to be a member of the Canterbury team and enjoys seeing the benefits the caring staff of the facility provide for our clients.
