Julie Braswell
Center Executive Director

Julie is a Registered Nurse and a Licensed NHA and has been with Alleghany Center for over 4 years. Julie's experience includes Emergency Nursing, CNA I & CNA II Instructor, Resident Care Assessment Nurse, Director of Nursing, Certified Dementia Practitioner and Licensed Administrator. Julie is a member of the Education & Programs Committee for the North Carolina Healthcare Facilities Association and is a Regional Director for Region II with the North Carolina Directors of Nursing Association, LTC.

Laura Davis
Director of Nursing

Laura has been the Director of Nursing at Alleghany Center for four years. Her career started as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. In 1979, she began her career in long-term care as a staff nurse in a 120-bed facility where she eventually became the Staff Development Coordinator. She then returned to Wytheville Community College for her Associate's Degree in Nursing and went on to become the Assistant Director of Nursing and Interim Director of Nursing at the that facility for over 30 years. Her experience along with being a Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing includes Staff Development, Resident Assessments, CNA I, CNA II Instructor with Surry Community College and the North Carolina CNA Registry. She is an active member of the North Carolina Directors of Nursing Administration, LTC.

Tammy Edwards
Admissions Director

Tammy grew up in Alleghany County where she graduated High school and later attended Lees McRae College on a Tennis scholarship. Before coming to Genesis she was a substitute teacher/tutor at the local elementary and high school and later worked at Alleghany Memorial Hospital as a biller and financial counselor. An important aspect of her life is family and she has two children.  Tammy belongs and volunteers to the following organizations-Alleghany Booster Club, Alleghany Youth Sports, Hunters Helping Kids, Alleghany council on Aging and the Lions club.

Kyle Riglin
Rehabilitation Program Manager

Kyle Riglin COTA/L, is the Program Manager for the rehabilitation department here at Alleghany Center. Kyle has been here for six years and has been the program manager for four.  Kyle is originally from Pennsylvania and moved to North Carolina in 2007.  He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree.
